A nice upgrade to my La Prensa El Capitan America #17 landed today .. and a HNG Studio Drawing copy no less. Sure beats my previous one from the vault that looked like it'd been run over by a truck and then launched itself into a river to try and get away ..

They also published Fantastic Four and Tales to Astonish in this title. Does anyone knows more about these older Norwegian Marvel comics? I'm so excited to get more of them!

You've got some pretty cool comics there Pablo!!! I'm not familiar with the Demonen title. But one of the things I enjoy is trying to find the history of comics. If I am able to find anything out about them, I will make sure to pass it on to you.

Thanks, yes they are really cool! Still it's so confusing when they have published so many different US titles in that title Demonen. So I will aprecciate any help that I can get to sort this title out I also got some Danish Daemonen but they seem to be only publishing Daredevil stories so they are more straight forward to find out about. Here are some of the Danish covers

Hmmm .. a tricky one .. (although I know which side of the fence I come down on). If you go on a 'well known auction house' at any time you'll see numerous 'Avengers #1's, ranging from expensive to ridiculously expensive .. so scarcity isn't a factor .. they're out there, if you have deep pockets. On the other hand, I've only seen two of these (I think there might be 3 'out there') and I now own one of them. So .. Scarce? .. you betcha! Scarcer than the U.S. Avengers #1?? Absolutely! Having already owned 2 x Avengers #1's in the past, these days I find myself more excited to own this Mexican version of The Amazing Spider-Man (Spider-Man content? Zero. Go figure)

Wow what a super cool find, Ken! I can't even imagine how hard it was for you to find it. A Mexican Spiderman with only Avengers? Strange and amazing! I myself got a few DC comics from Mexico too, cool but not as cool as yours Ken. Here are some of them:

Thank you, Pablo! .. but your comics are just as kewl as mine As we know in this lovely niche-hobby: it's all about making connections. It's much harder to find stuff when you're looking alone, than it is with people who become good friends

Thanks Ken, I'm just a newbie into this so have a lot to learn about foreign comics. As a kid I started early to read Spanish editions of DC and Marvel. Specially the Marvel always fascinated me since here in Spain all american covers was redrawn by the cover artist López Espí. Some of the covers are easier to recognize and some are totally different art than the original art. Here are some samples from the title Los Vengadores:

My previous post was a set of six photos. Click on each image for a fuller photo.
They are from an Italian comic called L'uomo Ragno Gigante No 29 dated Nov 1978.
It contains :
1. Cover from the US Amazing Spider-Man 74.
2. "Abbattuto Da Shocker" 3 page conclusion. This is from The US Amazing Spider-Man 72 "Rocked by the Shocker".
3. "La Rete Si Stringe! 20 pages from Amazing Spider-Man 73 "The Web Closes".
4. "Via Al Caos" 20 pages from Amazing Spider-Man 74 "The Fantastic Secret of the Petrified Tablet".
5. Morte Senza Preaviso 20 pages from Amazing Spider-Man 75 "Death Without Warning".
Phew! This has taken me from about 8pm today until now, 11pm. From photographing and getting my camera to talk to my laptop and then getting this site to upload the photos. I had to research all the stories using the Grand Comics Database which has a cover to this Italian issue but no other information whatsoever.
I have also got four other comics from the same series all photographed but without the info as yet. I'll post those over the weekend I hope.

Thanks Ken. These comics were relatively inexpensive. All are 68 pg square bound books with the spines missing and the covers sellotaped on down the spines. They are 10.5" x 8".
The GCD has some of this 70s set as cover images only but with no contents info, so I thought that I would make a public record here (we all do our bit, however small ).
I have another three to post (when my back will let me).
