Physical shops: There isn't many physical shops specialized in comic books. The ones that exist are usually focused on stuff that is being introduced by now. However some have older stuff. The best way to acquire older stuff is through sebos, shops specialized in selling old books, that also sell old dvds, magazines and of course, comic books.
One of physical shop that is located in São Paulo and has a website it is Comix: www.comix.com.br/. As usual more focused on current stuff, but have some older stuff. Not sure if all of this old stuff is cataloged on the internet.
A sebo that has an online website and has a website it is sebo Messias: sebodomessias.com.br/. Has a lot of content, new and modern. They have stuff from another countries (but not sure if it has international editions)
OnLine shops:
The biggest online source of Brazilian comic books is MercadoLivre: www.mercadolivre.com.br/. It used to be an auction/selling site of everything. It's by far the biggest repository of Brazilian comic books on the internet. However they did deep modifications on the website last year, and eliminated the auction part, so only direct sales now. What's worst, before it only required a cpf number (Brazil's social security number). Unfortunately now it has a much more difficult requirement to bypass for foreigners: a local cell phone number to login on it. It also increased by a lot the fees of cheap stuff, causing a massive inflation on the prices. ******Updated******: I just created a new account, and it did not ask me for anything. Perhaps they are not requiring all that information anymore and now anyone can use it? Will keep coming news about it.
Olx: www3.olx.com.br/. It is an announcement/selling website of everything. It is not a "full" selling website from pov that it does not takes care of the financial transaction/payment like Ebay/MercadoLivre. It allows sellers to put announcements and make direct contact with potential buyers. It's one of the two greatest Brazilian selling websites. Unfortunately, it does not have not nearly as comic book content as other stuff or as MercadoLivre but still has a reasonable amount of material.
Facebook groups: There are countless Comic Books groups of Brazilian material on Brazil: One of the biggest if Mania Comics:
www.facebook.com/groups/maniacomics/?ref=group_header. It has a lot of content, new or old. Perhaps its strongest is old super-hero stuff from Abril publisher that can be acquired at more reasonable prices compared to MercadoLivre. It offers some protection to the sellers and to the buyers. If one does not fulfills his obligations and the other complains, the first is likely to be expelled.
Rika Comic shop: www.rika.com.br/. Comic books only, despite calling themselves a sebo: Has a lot of content. They also have stuff from another countries (but not sure if it has international editions)
SeboRSRaridades: www.seborsraridades.com.br/. Another online sebo.
Mania de Gibis: www.maniadegibi.com/loja/. Comic Book only.
ECRG: ecrgo.com. Another online shop with about 7800 comic books at the time that this is written this is written. Old stuff mainly.
Casa do Gibi: www.casadogibi.com.br An online shop with prices apparently a little bellow most online shops, especially for regular series editions from the 90s and beyond.
www.mercadodogibi.com.br Modern stuff is the cheapest I saw until now.
www.magazinegibi.com.br Seems to have a lot of stuff, new and old.
pontodogibi.com.br/. Has a lot of stuff from Abril publisher.
Online auction sites: www.leiloesbr.com.br/. An online meta searcher that search in many registered online auction websites. It requires a Brazilian cpf and perhaps other local information. It's worth the effort, both from a price as from a content perspective. I saw things there that I have never seen before in MercadoLivre.
