*** Cell phone users must be in the desktop version of the forum to post pictures. You cannot add pictures using the mobile app. You can change to the desktop option on your phone. ***
There are two ways to upload a picture to the forum. Both ways have you start in the "reply" box. The "quick reply" box that is present at the end of each thread is for text only. You need to click on the "reply" button to get the options. In both instances, your picture is actually being hosted on another site with a link embedded here.
The first method ends up with a full size image being posted on the thread. To do this, you need to have your photo on a photosharing site such as photobucket or pinterest. The 7th icon in from the right is labeled "Insert Image". To use this option, you select the photo from your host site and copy/paste the url in the pop up box. There will be "http://" highlighted in blue. Either ignore this or delete it. If it is not highlighted in blue, you need to delete it before pasting your link. The image will look like this:
The second option is to use the "Add image to post" button. You can download directly from your computer files to this, but it ends up being a thumbnail. When the thumbnail is clicked on, the full sized image pops up. To do this, click on the box and in the popup, click "browse from your computer". Once you have selected the picture, click on "upload". An URL line will posted on your comment. Once you are finished, the thumbnail will be visible. It will look like this:
There may be a third way, but these are the two I commonly use. If someone knows of another way, perhaps they will share that way here.
